Who We Are

Tall Ships Creamery is a family run business set in the heart of Cornwall. Our story began some years ago when we saw, and fell in love with, a little shop, which was once a weighbridge and was used for weighing the metals and various commodities Cornwall had to offer. This little weighbridge sits in the peaceful and tranquil historical port of Charlestown famed for its Tall Ships.

Armed with a passion for making handmade dairy Ice Cream, Sorbets and Frozen Yogurts, the idea of turning this interest into a business soon blossomed and brought us to where we are today.

We wanted to recreate Ice Creams and sorbets with the flavours and textures that you only found in old fashioned Ice Cream parlours of years gone by a place where classic Ice Creams and traditional toppings held court. We also wanted to create new flavours for today’s more adventurous palates - refreshing flavour combinations that could satisfy even the most sophisticated among us.

All our recipes are made from scratch and we have put together a collection of classic flavours, and then customised them with changes and simple substitutions.

Our dairy Ice Creams, Sorbets and frozen yogurts are nationally award winning and are now renowned throughout the country.

We only ever use the finest ingredients in our products with the emphasis on local fresh produce wherever possible.

We do not mass produce any of our frozen products. We believe our products should be made fresh every day and this provides the customer with a product which has not been kept in a freezer for months.

Our aim is to change the way people conceive dairy Ice Cream and frozen products forever, by producing flavours that are fresh, full of natural goodness, low in sugar, but bursting with lots of fruit and healthy options. We have always catered for different dietary needs.
